Located right at the river’s edge, Aloha is a large 2-bedroom cabin in a heavily shaded area. With 2 queen size beds, Aloha is designed to accommodate a maximum of 4 people. This cabin is extremely close to the river’s edge so keep this in mind if you have small children.
Aloha has a fully functional kitchen, living and dining areas, a smart TV to stream your favorite apps, and a screened porch with a swing overlooking the fast-moving Big Thompson River.
Excellent trout fishing, the sound of a rushing river, picnic tables, barbecue grills, and outdoor furnishings are all available just outside the cabin.

A Great Time at Idlewilde by the River
We especially loved the location of Idlewilde--on the mountain stream, close to the park entrance, and close to the YMCA camp. We loved being right on the river and hearing its soothing sounds. Mike and Beth, the managers, were great to work with--very responsive and helpful. They keep the grounds and cabins clean and well cared for. The cabins even had new pots and pans and other amenities. The new owners are doing a great job updating everything, and it sounds like they have even more planned. Steve and Shirley
Great cabin, by the river
Awesome cabin, by the river, elk and deer abound (and a bunny). Mike and Beth were by far, the nicest, most responsive managers. Nice common areas to grill and sit by the river. Cabin very clean, basic kitchen. Quick drive to downtown-plenty of places to eat, coffee shops, rock shop and great hiking around Lily Lake and right next to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Very relaxing property right on the Big Thompson
We had a 2 bedroom cabin within a short distance to the river. Cabins are old, but very clean and accommodating. They were furnished well and we were comfortable while staying there. We will definitely stay at Idlewilde again next year. They are always full, so have to book yet this year I think. Popular place!
This property was wonderful. All that we were looking for and more. There was nothing between our front porch and the river. The property provided chairs to sit by the river along with a picnic table, and grills. The cabin was comfortable and clean and the kitchen contained all we needed other than things like salt and pepper, paper towels etc. Was within 10 min of Rocky Mtn Natl Park entrances and a mile from Estes park. The neighboring cabins were close, but it still felt private. We hope to be able to return to this lovely property.
